Policy and Technical Assistance

Policy

The District of Columbia Workforce Investment Council (WIC) Policy Manual was approved unanimously by the WIC Executive Committee on September 15, 2016.  This policy manual provides the WIC and other workforce system partners with clarity, instruction and guidance regarding the administration of service delivery and performance under WIOA.  The purpose of the manual is to provide policy guidance and interpretation of the appropriate coordination and delivery of federally funded workforce services and programs.

Technical Assistance (TA)

The WIC provides robust technical assistance efforts to the District’s workforce system to ensure all partners have the knowledge and tools necessary to implement policy updates and innovative strategies to serve DC residents. Current TA initiatives include Workforce Implementation Guidance Letters (WIGLS) and regular technical assistance calls.
