Sector Partnerships

The WIC administers a pilot program focused on meeting the workforce needs of businesses and job seekers in the hospitality and construction industries. The Workforce Intermediary Program is based on nationally-recognized best practices in sectoral workforce development. Sector-specific workforce programs are a key component of the federal Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), and the initiative brings together multiple stakeholders connected to key industries with significant employment growth and importance to the District’s economy.
