BE Community of Practice (CoP)

Driving Economic Growth Through a Seamless "One Door" Strategy

Welcome to the central hub for the District’s Business Engagement Specialists. This digital workspace is designed to connect workforce development professionals across agencies and organizations. Together, we share critical regional data, align our employer outreach efforts, and collaborate to build a true "one door" access point for local businesses seeking District workforce services.

Here, you will find our upcoming meeting schedule, historical session recordings, and the shared data repository needed to drive regional sector strategies forward.

About Us

The Business Engagement CoP is an action-oriented peer network created to break down institutional silos. By aligning our diverse workforce development programs, we aim to eliminate duplicate employer outreach, streamline communication, and elevate the overall impact of our region's economic development strategies.

Our Core Pillars:

  • Ecosystem Mapping: Understanding real-time business engagement touchpoints happening across all active District departments.

  • Unified Collaboration: Designing and executing coordinated employer strategies that treat local businesses as shared District assets.

  • Market Intelligence: Generously sharing regional industry landscape data, labor market trends, and workforce best practices.
