Anika's tenure with the District of Columbia Workforce Investment Council (DC WIC) is particularly notable, as she initiated the highly acclaimed Quick Path to Energy program at the DC Infrastructure Academy. Her leadership and dedication were instrumental in establishing this program as a reputable training initiative.

Before joining the DC WIC, Anika held several significant roles that shaped her career trajectory. She worked as a program manager for the Department of Employment Services, where she demonstrated her expertise in managing workforce programs. Served as the Associate Dean of Workforce Development and Lifelong Learning at the University of the District of Columbia, contributing to the university's commitment to fostering professional growth and lifelong learning, and held several positions in CareerSource Central Florida (formerly Workforce Central Florida) most notably Business Services Manager and rapidly progressed to the role of Director of Business Services, were she was vital in transitioning the organization from the Workforce Investment Act (WIA) to WIOA

Throughout her career, Anika has established herself as a trusted partner for community and organizational leaders. Her ability to cultivate strong relationships has enabled her to collaborate effectively with clients to develop solutions to achieve corporate and operating units' short- and long-term objectives.

Anika has also made significant contributions to shaping human capital management and HR practices, aligning them with the strategic agendas of various businesses. Her clients span diverse sectors such as financial services, healthcare, hospitality and tourism, manufacturing, and other service industries. Her involvement with local economic development agencies has been crucial in driving Central Florida's economy, creating over 22,000 jobs, and attracting more than $1 billion in capital investment.

Anika attended Florida Agriculture and Mechanical University and earned a bachelor’s degree in social science with a minor in public policy and a master’s degree in public administration from Troy State University.
