The Career Coach DC program has ended however, services that assist residents with job search, access to training and education as well as links to wrap-around and supportive services are available on the My Journey DC platform. Residents can link directly to the My Journey DC Participant Portal and create a profile to begin their career-related searches.

Our program provides career coaching services that empower you to achieve employment and education success – all at no cost to you. We offer a world-class customer experience shaped by your individual needs and preferences. Simply put, we provide a Career Coach and other resources, you decide how, when and where you receive services.
Your Career Coach will partner with you to develop a customized plan based on your personal goals:
- Do you have a consistent employment history with a desire to obtain a new or better job in your existing industry? Your Career Coach will work with you to make sure that your job search efforts are effective, and you are prepared for new employment and promotion opportunities.
- Are you interested in pursuing training for a new career? Have you been considering earning a post-secondary degree or certificate? Your Career Coach will help you identify educational and training opportunities that fit your needs and support you through registration or enrollment.
- Are you ready for a change in your career but unsure how to achieve it? Your Career Coach will help you gain clarity and direction in your career planning, job search and educational pursuits.
- Are you experiencing significant challenges that make it difficult to work or go to school? Your Career Coach will empower you to address and overcome barriers and challenges while providing you with the tools and strategies for an effective job search.
You can receive coaching services virtually, in-person, or a hybrid mix of virtual and in-person…you decide what works best for you.
Who can participate in Career Coach DC?
Career Coach DC services are available to District of Columbia residents, age 18 or older. You are eligible if you do not have a 4-year college degree, or, if you do have a 4-year college degree, you can qualify based on your income.
