The District of Columbia invites the public to review and provide comments on the mid-cycle updates to the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Unified State Plan. WIOA is a federal law designed to strengthen the public workforce system by helping job seekers access employment, education, and training, while matching employers with the skilled workers they need to compete. A mid-cycle update is a required biennial process that allows the District to adjust its four-year strategy, ensuring workforce programs remain responsive to current economic trends and the evolving needs of our community.
